Experiential Learning, Creativity, and Sustainability

My journey in education spans 23 enriching years, during which I’ve had the privilege of teaching and coordinating academics at renowned institutes such as Sinhgad Institutes, Walnut School, and Dhruv Global. With a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, TTC, B.Ed, and a Diploma in School Management, my educational qualifications laid the foundation for my teaching career.

My early life was shaped by my father’s central government service and a transferable job, which led me to study in some of the best schools across Mumbai, Delhi, and Nagpur. Exposed to a cosmopolitan society, I quickly developed adaptability and independence. Always ahead of my peers, whether in academics or extracurricular activities, I pursued training in Kathak and public speaking, further enriching my multifaceted personality.

My own educational experiences played a significant role in my decision to become a teacher. Inspired by teachers who fostered my curiosity and confidence, I was drawn to a profession that encourages lifelong learning, growth, and self-improvement. Teaching, to me, is a career filled with energy, enthusiasm, and endless adventure.

When I was introduced to UnSchool, I was immediately inspired by the mission to create change agents, equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with a sense of responsibility for a better world. Teaching at UnSchool resonates with my personal beliefs about education, emphasizing experiential learning, creativity, sustainability, and collaboration.

My teaching philosophy aims to inspire a love for learning and empower students to reach their full potential. I adapt to the unique learning needs of mixed-age groups, engaging with content at various levels, offering enrichment activities, and gauging students’ progress. This aligns perfectly with UnSchool’s approach to fostering curiosity, transforming challenges into growth opportunities, and building a nurturing environment.

My primary goals for my students at UnSchool include promoting global citizenship, collaboration, communication skills, and fostering a love for learning. I achieve this by demonstrating unwavering patience, empathy, and participating in various competitions, connecting with students individually, and recognizing their strengths.

Outside of teaching, my interests in painting, music, and dance influence my teaching approach. Conducting art classes and social events allows me to create an engaging and creative classroom experience that resonates with UnSchool’s vision of embracing diversity, exploration, and innovation.

Looking forward, my aspirations as an educator at UnSchool encompass inspiring and empowering students, fostering creativity, cultivating collaboration, driving social impact, and engaging in professional growth. I am thrilled about the opportunities ahead and eager to contribute to the transformative educational experiences that UnSchool offers.

Together, we at UnSchool are committed to redefining education, nurturing creativity, compassion, initiative, and diversity. With a shared vision of creating intellectually curious, socially responsible, and resilient leaders, we are forging a path to an interconnected and ever-evolving world.
